Video Editor (Short-Form + Motion Graphics) — Be Fit with Jess

Location: Hybrid, Bangkok-based

Employment: Full-time

Reports to: Business Director, working day-to-day with Jess, the script writer and the Brand Manager

About us

Be Fit with Jess is Thailand's leading premium fitness and wellness coaching brand for women 30+. Since 2014 we have built a multi-brand ecosystem: 1:1 coaching with Jess, the Be Fit App (workouts, nutrition, fasting, cycle-aware training), Be Fit Club community events, and the Talk กับ Jess podcast. We publish across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LINE OA, and our audience trusts us because we are science-backed, warm and never sell shortcuts.

Video is how that trust is built. Every clip we ship either earns a save, a share, or a conversation with Jess. This role decides how good, and how fast, those clips are.

The role in one sentence

You will own the edit — from brief to published clip — for a high-volume short-form pipeline, and you will make it faster every month by building the reusable assets (templates, presets, a graphics kit, a sound bank) that turn our edit style into a system rather than a one-off.

What you will actually do

  • Ship the weekly clip volume. Edit Reels, TikTok and Shorts from Jess's on-camera content, workout footage and podcast episodes, each cut to the platform's rhythm and to the clip's objective (save, share, DM, app download, coaching enquiry). Expect a steady weekly quota, not a project-by-project cadence.

  • Edit from a brief, not from memory. Every clip starts with a written brief (hook, promise, key numbers, CTA, graphics needed). You read it before you open the timeline, and you deliver against it. Post-edit feedback comes as a short scored review with at most three notes; your job is to make round two rare.

  • Build the kit, not the one-off. Motion graphics in After Effects and Premiere — lower-thirds, number call-outs, before/after frames, caption styles, progress bars, logo stings — built once as templates (MOGRT/presets) and reused. Roughly three-quarters of an editor's time here is currently lost to recreating things that already existed; your first 90 days are about closing that gap.

  • Own Thai captions and typography. Thai has no spaces and its tone marks break in most tools. You will know which caption tools render Thai correctly, judge them on line breaks, and never ship a clip with a misplaced tone mark.

  • Keep the sound bank current. Pull from our licensed library (Epidemic Sound), organize it into ready buckets pre-cut to 15/30/60 seconds, and pick music in under a minute rather than hunting per clip.

  • Cut the podcast into clips. Take Talk กับ Jess episodes and find the 30–90 second moments that carry, then package them for short-form with captions and graphics.

  • Colour, sound, finish. Professional colour correction and audio mixing so that a phone-shot clip and a studio clip sit together on the same grid without looking like two brands.

  • Use AI where it saves hours, not where it invents people. We use AI for transcript search, rough-cut assembly, caption drafts and b-roll finding. We never generate AI humans for a wellness brand. You should be curious about the tools and disciplined about the line.

  • Shoot when it helps. Set up camera, lighting and sound for simple studio, home-gym and event shoots when a dedicated crew isn't on hand.

What good looks like

  • By day 30 you are shipping the weekly quota on your own from written briefs, with your cuts passing first review more often than not.

  • By day 60 the graphics kit exists as templates, and the time from "brief received" to "first cut delivered" has visibly dropped.

  • By day 90 a new editor could join and match our house style from your presets, templates and style notes alone — because you have written them down.

Must-haves

  • Two or more years editing short-form social video for a brand or creator, with a portfolio that shows finished Reels/TikToks, not only showreels. Fresh graduates with an exceptional portfolio of published short-form work will be considered.

  • Strong Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; comfortable building and maintaining MOGRT templates and presets. CapCut as a finishing layer is a plus; DaVinci is a plus.

  • Native or fluent Thai for captioning and typography, plus working English for briefs and tools.

  • You understand what makes people stop scrolling, save, and share — hooks, pacing, on-screen text rhythm — and you can explain why one cut works and another doesn't.

  • You are fast and organized: you name files properly, keep a clean project structure in Google Drive, hit deadlines without being chased, and prefer a system to a heroic all-nighter.

  • You take direction well and give feedback back: you can tell us when a brief will not work on the platform, and propose the fix.

  • Colour correction and audio mixing to a professional standard.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience cutting fitness, wellness or health content, and an interest in the subject. Experience with podcast-to-clip workflows.

  • Familiarity with AI editing and transcript tools (and an honest view of where they fail in Thai). Canva template work. Any experience turning a brand's style into a documented spec.

What we are not looking for

Someone who wants to be told exactly what to cut every time. Someone who rebuilds the same lower-third from scratch each week. Someone who thinks "fast" and "good" are a trade-off.

What you get

  • Competitive salary and benefits.

  • Hybrid working — Bangkok-based, in the studio when we shoot and when the team is together, remote otherwise.

  • A creative seat at a brand with a loyal audience and a real point of view.

  • Modern tooling (licensed music, AI tools, a defined production system) so your time goes into the craft.

  •  A supportive team that reviews work in a structured way and does not run on last-minute panic.

How to apply

  • Send a short note and your portfolio — links to published short-form clips you personally edited, with a line on what each was trying to achieve. Include one example of a motion-graphic or caption template you built and reused.

  • Shortlisted candidates complete a paid, time-boxed edit assignment (raw footage plus a brief; we look at speed, brief adherence, Thai captions and graphics quality) before the interview.

  • We particularly welcome people who care about women's health and fitness.
