Key Account Executive (Modern Trade)

Job Type: 3 months contract
The Key Account Executive (Modern Trade) is responsible for executing day-to-day account operations and in-store excellence for modern trade pharmacy channels (e.g., Boots, Lab Pharmacy, Tops Vita). This role focuses on ensuring smooth order execution, on-time delivery coordination, promotional and POSM execution, store coverage, and accurate trade documentation. You will work closely with Key Account Manager, Trade Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure all account plans are executed effectively and KPIs are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Operations Execution
Support execution for Modern Trade Pharmacy accounts, ensuring all planned activities are delivered on time and to standard.
Coordinate order processing, stock allocation, delivery timelines, and daily issue resolution with internal teams and customers.
Track order status and follow up proactively to ensure fulfilment aligns with committed timelines.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and operational issues promptly to minimize business impact.
In-store Execution & Store Coverage
Visit key outlets regularly to check product visibility, shelf placement, price tagging, promotion compliance, and overall brand presentation.
Ensure POSM is installed correctly and maintained in-store according to guidelines and promotional calendar.
Support new product listings (NPD) execution including store activation, planogram compliance, and sampling coordination.
Collect in-store insights and competitor activities, and report findings with actionable suggestions.
Promotion & Trade Support
Support promotional execution by coordinating promotional quotas, forecast needs, and stock readiness with Trade Marketing and Supply Chain.
Assist in preparing and verifying trade expense documents, coordinate approvals, and maintain proper documentation.
Consolidate execution results (e.g., store checks, promotion compliance, POSM deployment) and prepare simple reports/recaps.
Cross-functional Coordination
Work closely with Key Account Manager and internal functions (Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Training) to ensure smooth implementation of channel initiatives.
Support internal alignment on timelines, materials, and execution requirements for campaigns and promotions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Sales Operations, Key Account support, Modern Trade, or FMCG execution roles (pharmacy channel is a plus).
Strong execution mindset with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Good coordination and communication skills; able to work across functions and with external customers.
Comfortable with store visits and fieldwork; able to travel for outlet coverage as needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for tracking and reporting.
Possess a valid driver’s license is preferred.
